Today I went on a sushi date with my best friend Sophie. We are both crazy about sushi, but somehow we never ate it together before. Last week we decided it was time to enjoy this Japanese delicacy in each others company and so today we went to Sumo in Haarlem. Needless to say it was great, we ate till we were completely stuffed and couldn't even take another bite. 

While we were waiting on the bus home we made some outfit pictures, the sun was shining so the lighting was great. Excuse my squinty eyes, looking into the sun in pictures is never a very good idea.

It's almost April which means that soon my sweaters and tights can be moved to the back of my closet to make room for high waisted shorts and floral dresses. Today I filmed my second Youtube video: "My Make-up Routine". The original length of this video was half an hour but usually it only takes me twenty minutes. I don't wear this much make-up everyday, probably only two to three times a week. The rest of the week I either wear mascara and concealer or nothing at all.

It's spring! Spring is my second favorite season (no season can best summer) so I thought I'd post a simple recipe to celebrate. I've been eating this salad daily for the last week, it's just so easy and delicious! It's a basic recipe, so you can add or remove any ingredients and replace them with something else. For example the strawberries can easily be replaced with any other summer fruit; berries, pineapple or mango will also taste great!

Ingredients:

- lettuce (or spinach)

- 150 gram strawberries

- 1/6 cucumber, diced

- 18 gram goat cheese, crumbled

For the dressing:

- 1 teaspoon dried dill

- 1 tablespoon olive oil

- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

- 1/3 tablespoon agave syrup (or honey)

Preparation:

1. Combine lettuce, strawberries, cucumber and goat cheese on a plate. In a small bowl, whisk the oil, red wine vinegar, agave syrup and dried dill. Pour dressing over salad.

You can have this for lunch or as a side dish for dinner. It will taste great with grilled chicken. Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Today I filmed my first youtube video; my shoe collection. I had actually planned on filming "My make-up routine" but I couldn't get proper lighting due to terrible weather. Bummer! So instead I decided to show you my favorite part of my closet.

                               (Note: this was really what my shoes looked like after filming...)

Most of my shoes are low-budget, I would say that 70% of them are either from Primark or H&M. The rest are from several other low budget stores (Bristol, Van Haren and yes even Blokker!). After filming my room was a mess, but I took that as an opportunity to reorganize my footwear. My flats and sandals don't fit on the shelves so I keep them separately in a box in my closet. Should I also film a closet tour? My feet are everything but "summer ready" (article idea?) so my apologies for that!

Since my blog is still quite new and I don't know in which exact direction I'm taking things yet, I thought I'd do a tag while I draft some more time consuming posts (Outfit of the day, my make-up routine etc.). I chose the "My Life In 20 Questions Tag" because it's quite simple but still very personal. Hope you guys enjoy!

What's your favorite color?

I really can't choose one, but I love all purple and red tones! My current favorite is probably burgundy.

What's your favorite number?

Seven! I really don't know why though.

What's your dream career?

Acting definitely! Probably never going to happen but it says "dream career" so... I'm most likely going to study criminology next year, so criminologist would be a more realistic option.

Where do you see yourself living when you're on your own?

I want to study in Amsterdam so probably there. But after that I would like to immigrate to LA, I've never been but it seems like the most perfect city ever.

Where is your favorite place to travel?

Anywhere warm! No but seriously, probably Spain because I was born there and being there makes me feel at home.

What do you do in your free time?

Sleep is the first thing that popped into my mind, lazy much? However when I'm awake I like to read, watch TV series and movies, and blog of course!

Favorite clothing store?

Primark, just because it's so cheap!

Dream car?

I know nothing about cars but I would love to have a red convertible, If only the weather here would allow it (and my wallet obviously....).

What TV shows can't you live without?

Do you have a few hours? I'm currently following about twenty-five but If I had to pick my favorites I would go for; Sherlock, Reign, Game of Thrones, Parks and Recreation and Hannibal. 

3 things you need in your life are...?

Chocolate. I have quite an addiction even though I'm trying to eat as healthy as possible. Next thing is music, I don't think anyone can live without some form of music in their life. Lastly... sunshine. I'm a big fan of the sun, a few rays can turn my whole mood around.

I can't sleep without...?

A bed! Some people have mastered the art of sleeping anywhere (trains, cars, the sidewalk etc.) but sadly I'm not one of them.

If you were given one million dollars all for yourself what would you do with it?

Buy a house in LA and move there for sure.

I have a celebrity crush on....?

I have so many celebrity crushes, it's embarrassing really. Most of them are old enough to be my dad... A random selection: Benedict Cumberbatch, Mads Mikkelsen, Chris Pine, Johnny Depp and last but certainly not least; Ian Somerhalder.

What is your favorite treat to eat?

White chocolate oreos!

My favorite wild animal is?

A penguin! They're just so cute and silly.

I'm going to Pinkpop this year! For those who don't know, Pinkpop is an annual pop/rock music festival in The Netherlands. It's the oldest reoccurring festival in the world! This year the line-up consists of many famous artists like; The Rolling Stones(!), Arctic Monkeys, Metallica, Stromae, John Mayer, The Editors, and Arcade Fire. My two (current) favorite bands are also going to be there, Bastille and HAIM!

This is going to be my first big festival so I'm counting the days 'till the 7th of June. Did you guys manage to get tickets (the tickets for saturday& the whole weekend are already sold out)? And which act are you most excited about seeing?
